Designated Members
Membership in the Appraisal Institute of Canada offers designated members a number of valuable benefits which include:

  • The most highly respected and sought after designations in the real property valuation marketplace;

  • A subscription to Canadian Property Valuation, the official magazine of the Appraisal Institute of Canada;
  • Copy of the AIC Designated Member Source Guide of Members;

  • The resources of the Appraisal Institute’s Y.T. and Louise Lee Lum Library include:
    • access to online publications and published papers
    • the Library’s InfoExchange and Masterlist, summarizing requests for information on property types and announcements of information for sale or exchange

Candidate Member Benefits
Membership in the Appraisal Institute of Canada offers candidate members a number of valuable benefits which include:

  • A subscription to Canadian Property Valuation, the official magazine of the Appraisal Institute of Canada;

Student Member Benefits
Membership in the Appraisal Institute of Canada offers student members a number of valuable benefits which include:

  • Access to the resources of Canada's most prestigious real property valuation organization in Canada;
  • Student members receive a $50 rebate on their dues for successful completion of each AIC recognized course taken, up to a maximum of two courses per year;
  • National dues of $100.00 are waived entirely for students who are enrolled full-time as a student in a recognized post-secondary institution OR who are enrolled in the AIC program of professional studies on a full-time basis. Note: For this latter situation, full-time enrollment will be defined as enrollment in no less than four AIC courses per year.
  • Opportunities for networking and dialogue with Canada’s leading valuation professionals;
  • Subscriptions to informative AIC publications including Canadian Property Valuation, the official magazine of AIC and the Communiqué, a regular electronic bulletin with information of interest to AIC members, and the profession;
  • Members’ registration privileges at AIC conferences, and continuing education programs;
  • Access to the AIC members only website;
  • Eligibility to participate in AIC affinity programs.

Note: Students are not eligible to participate in the Institute’s Professional Liability Insurance program.

Associate Members
Membership in the Appraisal Institute of Canada offers associate members a number of valuable benefits which include:

  • Opportunities for networking and dialogue with Canada's leading valuation professionals;
  • Subscriptions to Canadian Property Valuation magazine;
  • Copy of the AIC Designated Member Source Guide of Members;
  • Members' registration privileges at AIC conferences, and continuing education programs;
  • Eligibility to participate in AIC affinity programs;
  • Receipt of the Communiqué, AIC's regular electronic newsletter on Institute initiatives and events;
